Our enforcement team were out in Castle Point, Southend, and Basildon, supporting resident’s concerns around speeding in their area.

An officer detecting speed offences at the roadsideCastle Point – the team enforced in Hadleigh, Benfleet and Thundersley with a total of 65 speeders captured. Thundersley had the highest number of speeders and the highest speed recorded at 51mph in a 30mph, whilst Benfleet had the lowest number of recorded speeders.

Basildon – the team enforced on the two main routes in an out of the town – Broadmayne and East Mayne, with a total of 60 speeders captured the highest speed 44mph in a 30mph.

Southend – the team enforced in Thorpe Bay, Leigh and Southend Central, with a total of 93 speeders captured. Thorpe Bay had the highest number of speeders and the highest speed recorded at 53mph in a 30mph, and Leigh had the lowest number of recorded speeders.
