Operation Limit continues to target the behaviours most likely to cause death or serious injury on Essex roads, focusing on tackling drink and drug driving alongside other high-risk offences, combining enforcement with the wider education and prevention work of the Safer Essex Roads Partnership (SERP).

On Saturday, Essex Police carried out a further Operation Limit across Southend and Rochford, with significant results:
- 100 Traffic Offence Reports issued, mainly for excess speed
- 150 speed offences across a range of roads
- 13 vehicles seized for no insurance or licence offences
- 20 arrests, including 15 for drink or drug driving
- 19 intelligence reports submitted
These results highlight the ongoing risks posed by the Fatal Four– speeding, drink and drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, and mobile phone use, and the importance of continued enforcement.
Every enforcement action, every conversation, and every intervention supports Vision Zero, a future where no one is killed or seriously injured on Essex roads.
