Vision Zero
Road crashes devastate lives, destroy families and shatter communities.
Road deaths and injuries in Essex have reduced over the years. However, in 2023, 44 people were killed and 3,614 people were injured in crashes on our roads.
Vision Zero is our ambition to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on the county’s roads by 2040. Because even one road death or serious injury is one too many.
