The #BackYourTeam campaign features a powerful film with Simon Thomas, renowned football broadcaster and presenter of Soccer Saturday, exploring football culture, friendship and the consequences of drink driving.

The film follows a group of young men watching football together during the World Cup and highlights the importance of stepping in when a friend is about to make a dangerous decision.

The campaign is also being supported by Essex content creators Simeone De Cesare, Alexander Cassar, Ronnie Gall and Reid Card, who are encouraging their followers to challenge risky behaviour and support their mates throughout the tournament.

Simeone (pictured below), whose father was seriously injured in a suspected drink driver hit and run collision, is backing the campaign to encourage more young people to speak up when they see dangerous decisions being made.
