We offer a range of training course and opportunities for road users as detailed below.
NDORS (National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme)
Working as part of SERP, Essex County Council provides a range of NDORS courses on behalf of Essex Police. The courses are delivered by qualified and licensed NDORS trainers at venues throughout Essex.
There are a number of advanced driving courses across Essex which are designed to help young and newly qualified drivers increase their skills and lower their crash risk.
Whether it’s for work, school or pleasure, cycling has many benefits. It’s convenient, environmentally friendly and can help you keep fit. Our road safety teams provide training to ensure that cycling continues to be a safe activity, causing little risk either to cyclists themselves or to other road users.
The enjoyment gained from riding a motorcycle skilfully and safely is second to none; however, it takes confidence, excellent riding skills, physical co-ordination and balance. SERP offers a range of training course for motorcyclists including:
FireBike Better Biking Course: A half-day course providing advice, guidance and assessed ride feedback designed to improve your existing road riding skills and help you to enjoy safer biking even more.
FireBike Advanced Machine Skills Course: A full day course, the focus of which is machine control – slow speed handling, positive steering, merging exercises, swerving skills, emergency avoidance techniques and advanced braking skills.
