In support of the #EurosFootballFriend anti-drink drive campaign, the Partnership is offering its social media followers the chance to win the shirt worn by David James during the filming.
The latest campaign from SERP targets men under 40 and details how planning a journey ahead of football celebrations, can make all the difference between a good night out, a police cell, or worse.
Caroline Churchouse, Communications Manager for SERP, said: “Sadly our data shows that young men are overrepresented in drink-drive related collisions in Essex, which is why we’ve chosen to use the Euros and our chosen stars, to target this group and encourage them to plan their journeys ahead of drinking.
“The campaign is going well, and the message is getting across to our audience, but we’d still like it to go further to ensure as many young men as possible in Essex are exposed to our important messages.
“We want everyone to enjoy the football and crucially, we want everyone to get home to their loved ones, safely.
“We are encouraging all our followers to share our two main films, which are pinned to our Facebook and Instagram accounts. David James will then select a sharer at random, who will be given his signed Euros shirt.”
Social media users must be over the age of 18 and live in Essex. The SERP social media channels with the pinned films can be found by searching @saferessexroads.
