Regulations

childseats-regulationsAll child car seats are tested and approved to the current Child Safety Standard ECE R44.04 and should display a certification label to indicate that they comply with this.

A new regulation R129, known as i-Size, was introduced last year, and is currently running in parallel with the R44.04 regulation until it becomes effective in 2018.

R129 or i-Size introduces some key changes; it will make rear facing travel mandatory for children up to 15 months, it will require Isofix only seats, and much improved side and front impact protection.
