mobilephone

On 1st March 2017 the cost of sending or receiving a call or text on a hand held device whilst driving will be 6 penalty points on your driving licence and £200.  Sometimes, of course, it can cost much more.

Last October, in a nationally publicised case, Tomasz Kroker, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for ploughing into a stationary vehicle and killing 4 innocent people while he was scrolling through music on his mobile phone.

Please help us to make the roads of Essex safer. Please tell your family and friends about this change and remind anyone who tries to use their phone whilst at the wheel when you are in the vehicle.

You can make a pledge to never use your phone whilst driving at http://www.mysmallchange.co.uk/ and if you are aged between 17 and 25, and meet the competition criteria, you could win a Ford Fiesta.

No Excuse.
