Essex Highways

Essex Highways, a strategic partnership between Essex County Council (ECC) and Ringway Jacobs, is responsible for maintaining the county’s 4,500 mile road network. Essex Highways operates a dedicated Service Information Centre containing up-to-date news and information on roads, travel and transport in the county.

Essex Highways is not responsible for the following roads:

• A12, A120, M11 & M25 (managed by Highways England)

• A130, between A12 & A127 (County Route 0845 351 1130)

• Roads in Thurrock (managed by Thurrock Council)

• Roads in Southend-on-Sea (managed by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council)
